Recent Survey Results

There has been a flurry of activity in recent months. The following surveys have been conducted:

  • Pedestrian Crossing Survey
  • 24 Hour Traffic Speed Survey
  • Lollipop Crossing Survey

Pedestrian Crossing Survey

The survey was arranged for, and carried out by Derbyshire County Council Environmental Services Department. During 12 hours 373 pedestrians crossed the A608 fronting the school. The crossing movements were not isolated to the period that the School Crossing Patrol operates.

Traffic Speed Survey

The survey was arranged for, and carried out by Derbyshire County Council Environmental Services Department. The results of a 24 hour traffic speed survey revealed an average speed of 37mph, with an 85%ile speed of 42.9mph.

Lollipop Crossing Survey

The survey was carried out by the parents of children from Morley Primary School. The purpose of the survey was to record instances of vehicles failing to stop for the 'lollipop signal' whilst escorting the children across the road. The survey was carried out in full for the week commencing 10th March 2008. The survey continued for 3 days (Mon-Wed) for the week commencing 17th March 2008:
